November-December 1986 A COMMUTERS PUZZLE AND A SOLUTION? Metros great. It goes from point A to point B. But how do you get to point B if you live near points X, Y, or Z? And how do you get to point C? Try SHARE-A-RIDE. Call one the telephone numbers listed below, and give your name, home address and place of work. Within ten days you should receive a letter containing either: A. Good news a list of people who live near you and who work at the same place or at a nearby work site. Then its up to you to contact these people and set up a car pool. B. Not-so-good newsa letter stating that no one is available right now, but that you name will be kept in the system for four months. You will also receive information on hoe to form a car pool or vanpool. The SHARE-A-RIDE service is free. Montgomery County charges nothing to help you find fellow commuters, and offers a further incentive saving money.
